WWII German Waffen SS 'Old Style' Visor Cap for Other Ranks Personnel

WWII German Waffen SS 'Old Style' Visor Cap for Other Ranks Personnel-This is the old style cap with no chinstrap and a very high, pinched peak. The cap is produced in field grey wool that is very soft. There is wear, discoloration, stains and a few small holes. The center band is black badge cloth with minor wear. The white piping is full intact. The insignia is zinc and missing the finish. The eagle is missing a prong. It is unmarked on the reverse. The Totenkopf remains tightly secured. The visor is black vulkanfibre, showing minor fading and crazing. The underside is orange brown and crosshatched. The top panel of the interior is lined in blue cotton while the sides are black cotton. The sweatband is orange brown ersatz leather. The front 1/3rdis missing. There is paper under the sweatband used as a stiffener. The cap is a size 57. A scarce cap!
