WWII German Army Model 1943 Field Cap

WWII German Army Model 1943 Field Cap-This combat cap is produced in field grey wool. It's a bit salty, with wear, discoloration and a few small moth nips to the wool. The bill is a different color field grey wool and has been replaced. It's an original bill but not to this cap. You can see that it has been restitched onto the body of the cap as well. This has a single grommet on each side. There is a two button closure at the front of the flaps. The left side has the 'Windhund' (Greyhound) distinctive unit insignia of the 116thPanzer Division. The insignia is machine woven and two separate pieces that are hand applied. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in very good condition with minor wear and discoloration from use. It is maker marked and size stamped 56. A good salty combat veteran!
