Description
The wool Ike jacket bears clutch back 'U.S.' and Ordnance Corps collar disks, with the lapel having a single distinctive unit insignia of the 302nd Ordnance Regiment, pin back, and maker marked by the firm of Dieges and Clust. Both sleeves carry the rank chevrons of a Technical Staff Sergeant (Technician Third Grade). The right shoulder displays a Third Army patch, while the left shoulder has the patch of the European Theater Communications Zone Headquarters. The lower left sleeve has four overseas service chevrons as well as a single enlistment chevron. On the lower right sleeve is the Meritorious Unit Commendation patch. On the upper right breast is the 'Ruptured Duck' honorable discharge insignia. Pinned to the upper left breast are the ribbons for the American Defense Medal; the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal; the European Campaign Medal with two campaign stars; the American Campaign Medal; and the World War II Victory Medal. Below the ribbons are pinned the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal, slot brooch suspension and unnamed as awarded; the European Campaign Medal with one campaign star, crimp brooch suspension; the American Campaign Medal with crimp brooch suspension; and the World War II Victory Medal with crimp brooch suspension. The interior pocket retains the Quartermaster Depot tag, marked as a size 38 Regular. The jacket is very clean and it makes an excellent appearance.
