Both sleeves have the smaller, 1948 pattern, chevrons of a Technical Sergeant. On the lower left sleeve are two overseas service chevrons as well as three enlistment chevrons. The left shoulder displays a theater made patch for the American Forces in Austria, while the right shoulder bears the patch of the 13th Airborne Division.
