Matched pair of sewn in shoulder boards for a Waffen-SS Panzerjäger Hauptsturmführer, it is thought that these boards may have been worn by an antitank officer as part of a small Panzerjäger detachment within an Infanterie Regiment, the large gilt finished gothic P devices are originally applied with white cotton thread, each board has two small zinc rank pips of the type with edge prongs, the boards' subdued metallic cords and thick basketweave style of rayon piping are sewn to a black wool base having inner card and wire stiffeners, showing wear, age and soling, the rank pips have traces of oxidation, a couple of attachment threads from when the boards were removed from the shoulder seams are still in place, the pair are textbook Waffen-SS officer shoulder boards with an interesting original addition, USD $1500
