A scarce original First World War period 'Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve lapel badge'; Imperial style crown gilt rope edged circlet, inlaid with blue enamel, with an applied silvered fouled anchor to the centre, inscribed 'RNVR; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, gilt finish remains bright.Height approx 29mm.
