M43 Waffen-SS black panzer cap

Original and textbook late war constructed M43 pattern Panzer cap for SS members. Late war example being a so called 'Dachau' (concentration camp) example, as these hats and many other clothing and badges were found there by American soldiers in 1945 and were taken back as war souvenirs. The cap has it's original SS panzer trapezoid insignia factory applied in zig-zag stitching on the front of the cap. This embroidered badge is also refered to as a pirate-trap because the skull has the same looks as a pirate flag. The interior is complete and shows a faded 59 size marking. The cardboard bill remains in good condition, and is folded in the middle as is was worn on a belt. A textbook late war cap!
