German WWI Imperial Army Buckle-This is an early imperial buckle made in two pieces. This is the 1895 model, made of two piece brass or copper with a shiny silver rondel. The details on the rondel are excellent. It shows only the slightest wear. The wreath and crown are beautiful, as is the traditional motto of 'Gort Mit Uns'.This is a good looking buckle, and one that is getting harder to find lately. A desirable offering.
