German WWII Political Leader Buckle

German WWII Political Leader Buckle-This style of buckle was introduced in 1940. This is a gold washed aluminum buckle that features a large national eagle surrounded by an oak leave wreath. This would be worn by the wide brown leather belt, on a service uniform.This buckle retains the majority of its gold gilt on both the obverse and reverse. This has one fixed keeper. It is nicely marked on the reverse with RZM motto and M4/23 which indicates production by Dr. Franke & Cie KG of Lüdenscheid. Very good condition!
