US Post Civil War G.A.R. Sword, Post No. 200

Original era manufacture. A pattern based on the M1860 staffofficer sword. Very clean, 30 inch polished steel blade with a central ridge on both sides of the blade. Etched into the reverse ricasso is Post 200 G.A.R.. Black leather wrapped grip with single twisted wire binding. Gilded brass guard with the GAR motif, guard and pommel. Dent free nickeled scabbard with a brass drag and suspension rings. Therewere a good many G.A.R. Posts number 200 back in the day, this should fit well in one of them.
