Dutch Wooden Wall Plate 'Moed en Vertrouwen'

Dutch Wooden Wall Plate 'Moed en Vertrouwen' (Courage and Trust). These were home-made wooden wall plates, made by wounded Dutch soldiers, to commemorate the German Invasion in May 1940 and that people had to keep faith in the fact that everything would be alright. The plate is showing a painted Dutch flag. The plate could be hung on the wall. The plate is sized approximately 23 x 11 cms. Nice and decorative original piece!
