Description
Westwall Medal (Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen). The Westwall medal was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 2 August 1939 for military personnel, and civilian employees, who assisted in the planning and construction or defence of the German fortifications on the western border of Germany. The medal is a tombak (Buntmetall) example, complete with its original ribbon. The medail comes with its original pouch of issue, maker marked by the company of 'Hymmen & Co' from Lüdenscheid. Nice set in good condition!
