Description
This is a very early and desirable pre-war edition ofMein KampfbyAdolf Hitler, published in 1932, before Hitler came to power. The book is the one-volume edition combining both parts, issued byFranz Eher Nachfolger, Munich. The volume retains its original blue cloth binding with the golden Reich eagle and swastika stamped on the front cover, and gilt title lettering on the spine. The top edge of the pages is dyed green, a characteristic feature of early editions. Internally, the book is complete, including the original Hitler portrait, which is often missing as it was frequently removed.Condition-wise, the book shows honest period wear consistent with age and use. The spine exhibits splitting and partial separation along the joint, with visible cracking to the cloth; however, the binding remains structurally intact and all pages are firmly attached. No loose pages are present.A particularly noteworthy and rare feature of this copy is the handwritten presentation inscription inside the book, stating it was awarded'In Anerkennung geleisteter Dienste'(In recognition of services rendered) by theNSDAP, Gauleitung Düsseldorf. The inscription is signed by the Gauleiter of Düsseldorf, generally identified asFriedrich Karl Florian, who held this position from 1930 onward. Such official party presentation copies with regional leadership signatures are significantly scarcer than standard commercial editions.Overall, this is a highly collectible early NSDAP-era copy with strong historical provenance, combining pre-1933 publication, complete contents, and documented party attribution.
