As the commander of the Military District III (Berlin), he had a role in ensuring the failure of the attempted coup after the 20 July Plot attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, which was led by Kortzfleisch's distant cousin, Claus von Stauffenberg.Killed when he resisted surrendering to American troops.Made of heavy card, this postcard is in EXCELLENT condition! Featuring a photographic image of Joachim von Kortzfleisch, it is signed in ink at the bottom.
