QSA 1899-1902 With clasps for Cape Colony, Orange Free State & Transvaal To- 3426.PTE.W.RICHMOND.1st.HIGHLAND.LT.INFY.The recipient was taken prisoner of war at Swalkrant 4-6-1900 serving with the 1st battalion of the Highland Light Infantry & had previously been mentioned in despatches in a despatch by lord Methuen dated 15-2-1900 & published in the London gazette 16-3-1900.
