QSA 1899-1902 With clasps for Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1902, WW1 Pair & GVR Territorial Force Efficiency MedalTo- 9050.PTE.R.BOWER.GORDON.HIGHRS (QSA)4980.PTE.R.BOWER.GORDONS (WW1 Pair)& 177.l-SJT.R.BOWIE.6/GORDON.HDRS (TFEM)Robert Bower from Aberdeen was born 1880 & served with the 4th volunteer service company as part of the 1st battalion of the Gordon Highlanders during the Boer war of 1899-1902. He was awarded his Territorial Force efficiency medal in army order 282 dated 1-10-1911 & went on to serve with the 4th reserve battalion during WW1. He was wounded in the leg 12-4-1918 & discharged at the wars end.GVF/NEF & Complete with copy WW1 pension papers, MIC details & medal roll details.Please not the difference in the spelling of the recipients surname on his TFEM.
