US WW2 'British Made' M1 Carbine Ammo Pouch 1944

Officially calledPocket, Magazine, Double, Web, For Carbine, Caliber .30, M-1, this ammo pouch was made in England by the M. Wright & Sons Limited (M.W. & S Ltd) in 1944 and clearly so marked. This was part of the British Reverse-Lend-Lease production of items for the US Army stationed in the UK in preparation of the Normandy invasion.These pouches were issued to GIs armed with the M1 or Paratrooper M1A1 Carbine and were carried on the belt or sometimes slid over the stock of the carbine. They held two 15-round magazines.Excellent condition although two small holes have been punched near the top on the back. These will not be visible once displayed.A very nice and hard to find pouch which will display well!
