Description
M35 steel helmet that started it's life as a double decal example in glossy blue paint. Got camouflaged during the war, covering both decals. The camouflage pattern is a classic 'Normandy' three tone spectrum period applied using saw dust mixed paint. The colors shows wear and combat damages. The exterior has a layer of varnish to avoid the paint from falling off. The inside remains perfect and untouched having a single band aluminum liner dated 1937. The leather is a bit stiff but remains strong. The (broken) chin strap is still present. The split pins remain straight and untouched. Maker and size marked shell: Q64 lot number 311. Named to Uffz. Balzer. Been there three tone camouflage helmet!
