Named Model 1951 U.S. Army Field Jacket of Brigadier General Robert Gildart

The model 1951 field jacket is tagged as a size 'Regular Small', with a Defense Supply Agency contact date of 1964. The jacket bears cloth Brigadier General stars on the shoulder. General Gildart's embroidered name tape is above the upper right pocket. On the left shoulder is the insignia of the38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. The jacket shows use but overall it is in very good condition. General Gildart was a 1937 graduate of West Point. His decorations included the Army Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit.
