Description
German WWII Kurmark Wappenschau (Coat of Arms) Cigarette Card Album-This album was issued in 1929 by Garbaty, a cigarette company based in Berlin. This book was offered as the company's first heraldic album. An appendix was added in 1930. The album was designed for collectors to paste in small colored stickers or cards that featured coats of arms and emblems of various towns, regions and countries. With a primary focus on Germany, Austria and other European areas. These small cars were collected by purchasing sachets for 5 pfennig each. A complete album contains approx. 992 main images. This book contains all of the stickers, as well as the original welcome letter. There is also a small satchel remaining, which contains information and a coat of arms sticker, so you can see how these were originally sold. Very cool little set. The book itself has some tattered edges to the cover. The softcover is brown paper, and is bound with string. The front has a gorgeous cover, with the Kurmark logo embossed on the front. This book is large, it measures 14 inches (35.56cm) long by 11 inches (27.94cm) wide. This book is in good condition, the cards inside are very clean and the inside pages are good, just be aware that the edges of the pages show some folding from storage and use.
