1917 Issue 39 of the German Magazine Jugend-This is a large format magazine. It measures 13 inches (33.02cm) long by 9 ½ inches (24.13cm) wide. It contains 17 fully illustrated pages. The cover is a beautiful color painting of Field Marshall Paul von Hindenburg. The date on the magazine is September 1917. This magazine, translates to 'Youth', was an influential German art and cultural publication, that was in print from 1896 to 1940. This magazine gave its name to the Jugdenstil artistic movement, which was the German variant of art nouveau. This magazine is in near excellent condition for its age, but please be aware that the spine is split from age. The pages are clean and unmarked, and the print and colors remain vibrant, but the booklet is split away from the spine in the center.
