Women's Land Army Shoes

A scarce pair of original British Women's Land Army shoes made in 1943 by Coles of Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire. Made from a brown coloured leather featuring a pebbled finish with five eyelets and no toe cap. Leather sole and heel with a metal horseshoe, marked to the instep with the size: 6 1/2 L, the initials 'WLA' and the notation ' PLEASE GREASE ME '. Displaying some light use and in a good wearable size.
