Description

White metal and enamel cap badge for the Police Auxiliary Messenger Service. Two lugs to reverse with securing pin. Good, used condition with some minor surface abrasions.PAMS consisted of 500 full time and a large number of part time youths between 16 and 18 who were employed as Police messengers. Put into uniform in 1941 and disbanded in 1945, unusual to find a cap badge.
