German 9mm Pistol Ammunition Box (Patronenschachtel). Empty carton ammunition boxes as used for ammunition for 9mm (Luger) pistols and/or MP40 ammunition. The ammunition box was originally filled with 16 rounds of pistol bullets: 'Pistolenpatronen 08 m.E (St).' being steel cartridges. The carton box is maker marked and dated 1942. Decorative original empty box!
