These were issued to both NCOs and Officers for bridge duty, navigation support, signal timing, and engine room intervals.During the Second World War, the German Kriegsmarine relied heavily on high-precision Swiss timepieces, and Revue was among the most respected manufacturers used for naval service.Stowa is one of the definitive German Watchmakers. Founded by Walter Storz in 1927, known for Bauhaus-style watches and iconic pilot's watches (Flieger) for the German Luftwaffe, surviving WWII destruction by relocating production, and later reviving its legacy under Jörg Schauer to become a respected online brand specializing in classic designs like Flieger, Marine, and Antea, maintaining a focus on traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.Made of brass with a nickel plated casing, this German-made Stowa Pocket Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition! Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in near MINT condition, with NO damage or corrosion! Some loss to the luminous paint, but that is expected considering the age. Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are in person. The name, 'Stowa' is clearly marked on the dial.Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise EXCELLENT!
