You are bidding on an EXCEPTIONAL example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Legion Condor Commemorative Unit Ring,SPECIFICALLY attributed to the 7/F.88 Mobile Anti-Aircraft Battalion!The 7.F/88 (7. Flakabteilung 88) was an anti-aircraft artillery group of the German Luftwaffe's Condor Legion (Legion Condor) that served in Spain during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). Although the Condor Legion is remembered for its aircraft, F88 was its largest unit, consisting of approximately 1,400 personnel responsible for deploying heavy 88mm anti-aircraft guns and 20mm light AA guns in support of Franco's Nationalist forces.Made of .835 German Silver, with a Champagne Gold Finish to the top, this ring is in SUPERB used condition! It is100% ORIGINAL, NOT a post-war copy. Though the hallmarks have worn away over time, ti top clearly indicates:LC7/F88EspanaAlso features a prominent 1st Pattern Luftwaffe Eagle, however part of the original markings have been peened out (this would have been done post-war). It could be restored if one wished, or left as-is. As it has been worn and over 80 years old, there are some marks and scratches due to the age, however all details and information are clearly legible.
