M42 canteen marked SMM 45

Stunning and textbook late war M42 canteen in close to mint, most likely unissued condition. The canteen is a typical late war example with a rough wool cover and with unusual red/brown coloured leather straps. The flask itself is marked SMM 45 which indicates the canteen is produced bySüddeutsche Metallwarenfabrik, Mussbachin 1945. Rare 1945 dated example!
