Japanese WWII Mess Kit

Japanese WWII Mess Kit-This Japanese WWII mess kit, is known as the Ro as it does not have the inner tray. This is a kidney-shaped aluminum pot with a lid. This served as both a rice cooker and eating dish. They would often be used over open fires and you can see that this one still shows the scorch marks from cooking. It has the wire carrying handle, and a buckle on the front. This is in overall very good condition. This is nicely marked on the reverse of the bottom piece.
