1924 British Empire Exhibition Wembley gilt and enamel souvenir badge

An unusual scarce original 1924 'British Empire Exhibition souvenir pin badge'; Crowned silver plated ornate red enamel title surround, the rayed centre bearing a shield from the Ciy of London Coat of Arms' inlaid with white enamel, bearing a red cross and 'Wat Tyler's dagger' in the first quarter and the 'Wembley Lion' resting on blue enamel scrolls 'Wembley 1924'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.Height approx 30mm.
