Description

You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe 5th Model 1940's Junghans Clock, Fl. 23885! This type was used in other aircraft such as the Me109, Fw190, Me110, Me262, and many others!Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction. It was made famous throughout the war as the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clock. It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features a chronometer, adjustable bezel, and a 30-minute timer.Made of aluminum with a bakelite bezel, this last (5th) model Junghans clock is in VERY NICE used condition! It retains 95% of its original RLM66 surface paint (cockpit colour), and features the screw on back. Some light marks and scratches throughout from age, but nothing that detracts. The dial still glows at night (must be charged with UV light), and it is 100% complete! Data Plate is present, but faded. There are no broken parts internally, and it is 100% FUNCTIONAL! Hand appears to have been repainted. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
