WW2 German Luftwaffe Kopfhaube – BLUE / WHITE REVERSIBLE WINTER HOOD – VERY NICE

You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Reversible Winter Camouflage Hood! Finished in blue on one side and white on the reverse, this type of hood was intended for cold weather wear and quick adaptation to changing concealment needs.Following the severe winter conditions of 1941–42, German forces introduced improved standardized winter clothing systems that included reversible parkas, trousers, mittens, and hoods. Early-war issue commonly appeared in reversible blue/mouse-grey/white combinations, with later-war production shifting toward camouflage pattern/white combinations for improved field concealment.Made of water-resistant wool/rayon, this reversible hood is in EXCELLENT used condition! It features the standard blue-dyed fabric with a white reversible interior, showing expected light handling and storage wear. It features the original tie string, which was designed to tie around the wearers neck. The bottom features four large panels that were designed to tuck under the jacket in order to retain the most warmth possible. Dated 1942, it features both a manufacture stamp, along with what appears to be a Unit ID marking. Size is marked as a 'III', which is the standard Luftwaffe sizing, indicating LARGE. As it was used in the field, there are some slight marks and stains. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
