You are bidding on an EXCELLENT pair of WW2 German Luftwaffe Fliegerhandschuhe Leder (Leather Flying Gloves), as used by various fighter pilots and bomber crew members!Trigger mittens of this type were issued primarily to Luftwaffe bomber and transport aircrew, including gunners and other personnel exposed to open or poorly heated positions. They were developed to address the extreme cold encountered at altitude, especially during long missions, while still allowing limited dexterity for operating weapons, instruments, and aircraft equipment. This style became standard among Luftwaffe aircrew during the war years.Made of soft leather, these trigger mitten are in VERY NICE used condition! Though they has been used during the war, 95% of the original coloring remains, with some slight marks and wear from use. No corrosion on any of the contacts/snaps. No manufacture markings or sizing that I can see (usually, this is stamped internally). A 100% genuine Luftwaffe issue item, it would make a VERY NICE addition to any collection or display!
