Description
The uniform is comprised of Major General Biddle's Model 1954 Class 'A' uniform, with tunic and trousers. The right shoulder of the uniform carries the German-made BeVo style insignia of the 113th Cavalry Group. The lower right sleeve bears seven bullion overseas service chevrons. The left shoulder carries the fourragère of the French Croix de Guerre. The uniform is named to General Biddle and it is in excellent condition. General Biddle was a 1923 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He served in World War II in Europe as commanding officer of the 113th Cavalry Group, and his decorations included the Silver Star for action in France in 1944; and the Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit for his service as cavalry commander in the European Theater in World War II.
