A scarce original circa 1925 - 1953 early period Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company shipping line 'SS Ranchi souvenir steam ocean liner ship's brooch'; large oval example bearing unusual night-time image illuminated by the light of the moon transfer picture of the ship; the reverse impressed 'SILVER' and 'Pt 202213'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, without fading or deterioration.Size approx 37 x 29mm.
