German WWII Combat 98K Bayonet-This bayonet has matching numbers. The steel pommel and fittings are a nice dark gray color. The mortise button works as it should. The cap has waffenamts in all the right places. The brown ribbed bakelite grip plates are very good and show just enough wear to know that this piece was carried for a time. The scabbard has lost all of its finish but has toned to a nice dark gray steel color that complements the fittings of the bayonet. The scabbard is marked with the serial number 3442, and the reverse is marked 43ddl, the date, and code for the maker Josua Corts & Son (Remscheider Hobelmesserfabrik). The blade is excellent. It is also marked with the serial number 3442 on the obverse and 43ddl on the reverse. Overall, I would say this bayonet is a strong very good.Online checkout is not supported for edged weapons.
