WW1 1914 Mons star trio with Original August to November 1914 claspTo- 1074.PTE/A-SJT.W.McKNIGHT.1/GORD.HIGHRSWilliam McKnight was born in Barony, Lanarkshire & enlisted in Glasgow. He first landed in France 13-8-14 serving with the 1st battalion of the Gordon Highlanders & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 22-7-1915. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial at Ypres.The award of his August to November 1914 clasp is confirmed on his MIC.NEF/GVF & Complete with MIC details.
