Italian M1871 Vetterli Bayonet, Short Spring

Original period manufacture. Unaltered example with its full length 20 inch polished steel blade. The blade is bright with scattered spots of staining and some slight discoloration near the tip. No corrosion pitting with s single bump to the edge of the upper portion of the blade. Steel guard and pommel with dark brown composition grips with a short style locking spring. Very sound black leather bodied scabbard with a dark brass patina throat and tip. Normal age and wear overall.
