Third Reich Police Officers Sword Knot

This is the 'Grosse' size, period original portepee having a wider than normal leather strap and wider oval acorn having a base stuffed with silver red and black springy wire. Strap has some minor snags to the aluminium wire but is very supple and would re attach to a sword hilt without difficulty.
