Named WWI U.S. Marine Corps Officer Green Bell Crown Visor Cap

Available
$2650.00

Description

The cap crown is tailored in a fine quality U.S. Marine Corps 'Forest Green' wool, with a khaki mohair cap band. The surface of the russet brown visor shows spots but it is without damage. The body of the cap shows a few small scattered holes, none of which is distracting. The peak of the cap carries a fine, screw back, bronze eagle, globe and anchor insignia. The top of the cap carries the Marine Corps officer's quatre-foil insignia. The interior polished cotton lining is manufacturer marked by the Army and Navy Co-Operative Company, showing some separations of the material and bearing multiple name stamps of 'George P. Hern'. The interior leather sweatband is detached in the rear due to a loss of some stitching, but the sweatband is intact. Overall the cap is in very good condition and it makes an excellent appearance.
