WW1 Union Jack Flag British Bulldog patriotic badge

A scarce original First World War period large circular gilt and enamel pin badge; Crowned 'Union Jack Flag' with applied 'British Bulldog, set on a fretted rose, each petal depicting the representative symbol of the 'Commonwealth of Nations', Australia Kangaroo, New Zealand Moa, Canada Beaver, India Elephant, within circular title 'A United Empire What We Have We'll Hold'; the reverse inscribed with embossed lettering 'Symbol of Empire' 'All British' with 'Regd. No. 643272' a registered, design and patent date of 1915. Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Diameter approx 31mm.
