Description
Original period manufacture. A clean example of the classic Butcher Blade bayonet of the Imperial German Army in WWI. Bright finished blade, factory edge, only a light peppering of surface staining. Clear makers markings on the ricasso and Crown W 16 on the spine. Original finish serrated wooden grips, dark steel patina finish to the pommel, working lock button. Mix of blue steel finish and a peppering of surface corrosion, no serious dents, just honest service wear and use. Blade is a bit tight in the scabbard.
