Queens South Africa Medal (second type reverse) clasps: CAPE COLONY/TUGELA HEIGHTS/ORANGE FREE STATE/RELIEF OF LADYSMITH/TRANSVAAL/LAING'S NEKNamed to: 10153 GNR: A.J.W.PENFOLD,4TH M.B.,R.G.A.King's South Africa Medal,claps: SOUTH AFRICA 1901/SOUTH AFRICA 1902 Named to: GNR:A.W.PENFOLD.POM POMS SEC:R.A.1914/15 Star trio, named to: 10153 SJT.A.J.W.PENFOLDR.G.A.Medals very fine and better, the first two dark toned and show a little contact wear.All on original ribbons and as purchased.Shown on the Q.S.A.roll for 1 Pounder Maxims R.A.(Pom Poms) shows entitled to all six clasps, but these have been crossed out and a note states: issued from roll 4th Mtn Batt.On the roll for the Pom Pom section Royal Artillery for the King's South Africa Medal.Arrived in France on 15/07/1915.Scarce, worthy of further research.
