British Red Cross & Order of St John armband with named provenance

A rare original Second World War period red cotton armband, bearing the printed badge of the wartime joint services of the 'British Red Cross Society & Order of St John' and initials 'C.H.S.S.', the ends are turned and sewn with three hook and eye fasteners and ink name and address 'D.A.CLARKE. 20 HIGHBRIDGE WALK. Very good used condition.Worn during wartime by a senior member of staff. this being attributed to 'Dorothy A.Clarke. 20 Highbridge Walk, Aylesbury'.
