Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE original WW2 German Luftwaffe aircraft Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir! Not sure of the exact aircraft it is from, but probably a smaller bird, like the Ar96, Bu131, and Bu181.German aircraft hydraulic reservoirs were essential components used to supply and regulate hydraulic pressure for systems such as landing gear operation, flaps, and other control mechanisms. These reservoirs were factory produced to strict specifications and installed across a wide range of Luftwaffe aircraft, with many wartime components later remaining in service or reused by post-war operators due to material shortages and the continued use of German equipment.Made of aluminum, this Hydraulic Fluid Tank is in EXCELLENT used condition! Features extensive original RLM02 and RLM66 paint, consistent with German aircraft factory application, and is additionally over-painted in a blue finish applied post-war (a combination commonly encountered on German aviation components reused in Czechoslovakia during the late 1940s and early 1950s). All fittings are of German manufacture and remain intact. This example is constructed of formed and welded aluminum and was designed for installation within an aircraft engine compartment or systems bay, incorporating multiple inlet and outlet ports for fluid circulation within a hydraulic system. Some obvious wear, paint loss, oxidation, and age consistent with wartime manufacture and post-war use. No cracks or repairs! An EXELLENT original Luftwaffe aircraft component with clear German construction and documented post-war reuse history. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
