Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Army Telephone Amplifier Component! This type of rotary variable resistor was used to regulate signal level, gain, or balance within larger telephone, intercom, or amplifier systems. Components like this were installed as part of integrated communications assemblies rather than functioning as standalone devices, and were common within German field telephone and signal amplification equipment used by army units.Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel, this item is in EXCELLENT used conditon! The housing shows surface wear, paint loss, and oxidation consistent with age, wartime manufacture, and storage. The control knob turns with resistance, though no electrical testing has been performed. Internal components are visible as shown in the photographs. Not sure of the exact system it was used in. Sold as-is for parts, display, or restoration!
