You are bidding on VERY NICE unused example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Truppenfahrrad (Bicycle)Headlamp Light! Manufactured by Elite, this lamp features the correct period glass lens markedPTR 160S, a known German headlamp lens designation used during the prewar and wartime years.This style of headlight was designed for bicycle use and reflects typical German lighting construction of the era, with a metal housing, patterned glass lens, internal bulb assembly, rear-mounted switch, and red rear indicator jewel. Elite was a German manufacturer that produced lighting equipment for civilian and auxiliary transport during the WWII period, and similar lamps were commonly encountered on wartime bicycles used for civilian, factory, and military support roles.Made of aluminum, glass, and steel, this is a SUPERB example! Though it remain in unused condition, there are numerous marks and wear from storage. 95% of hte original paint remains, however the metal housing shows surface corrosion, paint loss, and patina. The glass lens is intact and clearly marked. Internal components appear complete, minus the original bulb. I have shown its location in the last images.
