Custom made Tactical Neck Knife by Les Voorhies with Kydex Sheath and Neck Chain

Here on offer is a fine example of a custom made versatile everyday carry (EDC) neck knife, by Les Voorhies, complete with a Kydex sheath and neck chain.This neck knife has a full tang construction and features a 2.1' chisel ground blade with a bead blasted finish.The blade is etched on one side with the maker's name:L. VoorhiesThe knife is accompanied by a custom fit cream Kydex neck sheath, that is fitted with a 26' long neck chain.It is also fitted with a short lanyard to aid with its easy removal from the sheath.Some history about Les Voorhies.Les Voorhies started making knives in 1994, when a co-worker making fillet knives from power hacksaw blades gave him one to try. He showed the blade to a friend who gave him some Cocobolo for the handle and introduced him to a local knifemaker named John Gianini who encouraged him and pointed him in the right direction.He sold his first knife at a gun show in 1994. A year or two later he started attending hammer-ins at Howard Clark's shop each spring and he started learning about folder making from R.B. Johnson and Al Dipold.He then made knives part-time, primarily in the winter until August 2005 when he was laid off from his job as an aircraft mechanic at Northwest Airlines. He now makes knifes full-time and attends as many shows as he can manage.
