M42 Helmet with Painted HJ Decal.

A small size M42 helmet with a painted Hitler Youth decal. Field green painted shell inside and out. HJ logo painted below vent. On the other side of the shell are the numerals 7/2 - also painted - presumably referencing the HJ Standarte. Inner skirt stamped with maker and size mark ckl62. Batch code stamping is too faint to read but appears to be 2456. Hide liner intact. No chinstrap. No official HJ decal was ever produced, so painted-on decals are not uncommon.
