It was issued as a day badge for participants in the Nordsee SA Sportwettkämpfe (North Sea SA Sports Competition) held that year.Badge DetailsDesign: The rectangular badge features a Viking longship in the upper portion, sailing over the lower section which contains a large stylized 'SA' emblem. The design uses a Viking ship motif as the 13th Flotilla U-boat emblem was also based on Norse history.Made of grey molded plastic .Manufacturer: The reverse is marked by the manufacturer, such as R.
