A nice British CD (Civil Defence) un-issued beret badge

This is a good example of a British CD (Civil Defence) beret badge. This pattern of badge was introduced in 1943 to replace the metal ARP badge previously worn on the beret. Embroidered versions such as this were not actually official use but they did see widespread use.
